THE BIGGEST STEAM LOCOMOTIVE IN THE WORLD
Today, I saw the world’s largest steam locomotive pass through Brighton, Colorado. Known as Big Boy, it was built during World War II to haul freight through the mountains of Wyoming.
Big Boy was headed south to Denver in celebration of the 160th anniversary of Union Pacific. The train horn hurt my ears as it passed by.
The train will be on display at Denver’s Union Station Friday and Saturday.
